I fell across the work of Kirsten Lepore and immediately fell in love with her quirky and imaginative animations. You can really sense the amount of love and effort that have gone into each one. Just check out the amount of drawings she must have done for 'story for North America'. In 'Sweet Dreams' a young cupcake dreams of sailing the oceans with healthy consequences. The details are just brilliant, my favourite has to be the shipwrecked scene; when the cupcake (spoiler alert!) builds a shelter on the desert island he picks some foliage to make his roof. Come morning the cale has shriveled in the sun but the growing cale has not. It might seem like a small thing but it is these tiny details that bring the story to life.

Oh my, such a sweet story. But then...why did Mr.Cupcake even returned to Candyland? I guess his love for home exceed his love for the girlfriend? (btw I have no idea what that vegetable was...)
Amazing! Yes why did he leave the vegetable land? I suppose his house was in candyland. I think the girlfriend was a butternut squash.....I loved it.
